Papillon

The Papillon is a small dog with a harmonious structure and a lively appearance. The head is light, the stop accentuated, the nose small and black, slightly flattened. The eyes are broad, almond-shaped, dark and expressive. The ears are thin: they are straight in the Butterfly, with the conch open and worn sideways, trimmed with fringes (they must remind the unfolded wings of a butterfly). In the Moth, they are pendulous and mobile, furnished with a long wavy hair (their arrangement precisely recalls the wings of a moth which are not raised but extended). The tail is carried curved on the back and forms a graceful plume.
