The Yorkshire Terrier is a dog with a compact and harmonious structure, with an upright habit which gives it an important air. The general structure is vigorous and well proportioned. The head is rather small and flat, with a not too rounded skull and a not too long muzzle. The eyes are of medium size, dark, shiny, cut out so that they look straight ahead. The ears are small, V shaped, worn erect and covered with a short hair of less intense reddish brown color. The limbs are perfectly straight. The tail, usually cut to mid-length, is well furnished with hair and carried a little higher than the back.
