Japanese Chin

The Japanese Spaniel is a small dog, covered with abundant fur which gives him an air of great elegance and distinction. The head is relatively large, the skull broad and rounded forward. The stop sign is well marked. The chamfer is very short; the nose is large, black or brown depending on the color of the dress. The eyes are very large, round, wide apart, prominent but not excessive, dark and very expressive. The ears are small, V shaped, with long hair; they fall back while adhering to the side walls of the skull. The chest is wide and deep, the ribs moderately arched. The back is short and straight. The limbs are straight, fine and trimmed with long hair. The tail droops over the back, well furnished with slightly raised hair.
