The Great Dane combines pride, strength and elegance in an ensemble full of nobility. Its constitution is large, powerful and harmonious. He has been defined as "the Apollo of dog breeds". Its head is elongated, narrow, well chiseled. The skull-muzzle ratio should be as close as possible to 1/1. The stop is accentuated. The ears, attached high, were previously necessarily amputated but today we can leave them whole. The trunk is almost inscribed in a square. Its length (measured from the tip of the shoulder to the tip of the buttocks) must not exceed 5% of the height in males and 10% in females.
