The Welsh Terrier is a strong dog that has the appearance of a well balanced and compact working dog. The head has a moderate-sized skull between the ears, a poorly defined stop, a medium-length snout. The eyes are small, well inserted, not round, dark and they express the temperament of the dog. The ears, in V, are small, not too thin, inserted rather high and carried forward; they adhere to the cheeks. The limbs are strong and muscular, of strong bones, perfectly straight. The tail is well inserted and carried high but not too cheerfully: it is generally shortened.
