Italian Greyhound

The Italian Greyhound is a slender looking dog whose trunk fits into the square: its shapes are reminiscent of those of Greyhound and Sloughi but with finer and more elegant lines. The head has a flat skull and a pointed snout; the stop sign is barely marked. The eyes are large, expressive, dark. The ears are well inserted high, folded back on themselves, carried behind on the nape and on the posterior part of the neck. The length of the trunk is less, or at most equal, the height at the withers. The chest is narrow, the rump very arched, the belly tucked in. The tail is inserted low, fine over its entire length including at the base but more tapered towards the tip. The limbs are light in structure but well muscled.
