Irish Setter

The Irish Setter has long muscles and a very sensitive nervous system. The general constitution is that of an agile athlete whose trunk fits into a square; the construction is dry, with a structure that is both fine and strong. The head is light, dry, without heaviness, longer than wide. The stop is little accentuated. The eyes are brown or dark hazel. The ears are hanging, thin and flat. The neck is moderate in length, slightly arched, muscular, without dewlap. The chest is rather narrow and well lowered, the withers very high. The limbs are perfectly plump. The tail is tied low and carried horizontally or down.
