Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a lively and graceful dog, well balanced in his forms, athletic and cheerful. The head is almost flat between the ears, the deep stop, the snout in the shape of a truncated cone. The eyes are large, dark, not prominent. The ears are long, set high, very fringed. The body is short and well proportioned. The tail can be amputated, but it is much more beautiful if it is left whole, long and fringed. The limbs are straight and parallel.
