The Borzoi has an extremely noble appearance. The head is long and narrow, finely chiseled, with a flat and narrow skull, slightly receding. The muzzle is longer than the skull. The head has a typical profile of this breed with a very slight stop. The eyes, large and oblong, have a soft but lively expression. The ears, attached high and back, are relatively small, thin and narrow, ending in a point; they are directed towards the back of the neck when the dog is not attentive, erect when the dog is alert. The neck is long and muscular. The thorax descends under the elbows; the back is rather short and arched towards the kidneys; the belly is very tucked in. The tail is raised or saber, set low and quite long. The limbs, long and dry, are perfectly straight and well muscled.
