Leonberger

The Leonberger is a giant dog, with a muscular but elegant body, well-proportioned shapes and a lively temperament. The head is moderately "arched", with the skull less tall and less broad than that of the Saint-Bernard, from which this race seems to come; the head seems deeper than broad. The skin does not have frontal wrinkles. The muzzle is slightly deep, never pointed. The stop is moderate. The chamfer is slightly arched. The eyes range from hazelnut to dark brown. The ears are set high, drooping and flat on the sides of the head. The back is muscular. The limbs are strong and sturdy, of strong bones, plump. The tail is worn half hanging, never wrapped over the back.
